The WHUS Training  Class will be starting again, with a no-obligation, informational meeting on Monday,  September 12th.

And now it’s even easier to get on the air and craft your own particular show.  We’ve focused the content; moved the mentoring up front (so you get on the air sooner), and made other adjustments so that the overall experience is less onerous; more relevant, and more enjoyable.

The no-obligation informational meeting will be held on Monday, September 12th at 8PM in Castleman 212 on the UCONN Storrs Campus, and will continue weekly thereafter.

Classroom material will cover legal, technical, and aesthetic aspects of radio and media broadcasting.

Concomitant with this, there will be weekly labs, stressing the use of our broadcast and production equipment and mastery of our digital editing software.

There will be mentoring, as well... and, as stated above, mentoring begins almost immediately (mentoring is like on-the-job training; shadowing a current on-air programmer and getting on the air, yourself).

It sounds like a lot, but it's fun and easy.

For more information, email trainingdirector@whus.org or just show up to the first meeting.

Again… that’s Monday, September 12th at 8PM in Castleman 212 on the UCONN Storrs Campus.
