Let's have some fun with Michele Bachmann's "joke"! Here's a spot to brainstorm alternative reasons why as Bachmann said, "God sent" Irene. Now in fairness to folks out there who have some level of actual faith in a higher being, I am not putting forward that "God" (Michele's word) is actually responsible for this. I'm just a blowhard having some fun at the expense of some politicos.
To help you get started I'll give you a few ideas from the Pundit and the People...
1) To point out that drilling for oil in the Everglades cannot be done "responsibly" (as Bachmann has suggested she would be open to)
2) That we should cut down some trees and use those for fuel
3) Along with the earthquakes; that we should stop playing with nuclear energy before we destroy our "Eden"
4) That we should find renewable ways to meet our personal energy needs (I even learned a little bit about solar ovens)
5) To remind us we should be talking about more important/enlightened topics than Michele Bachmann
