Joe Fonda, Carlo Morena, and George Schuller comprise a trio known as Step In. They will be performing at The Buttonwood Tree, this Saturday at 8PM. In this age of everything/everywhere/now, it's unusual to realize that you can't just walk out your door and see someone at a club around the corner; so much so, that the phenomenon even occurs in the quiet corner. Fonda and Schuller you can catch in the area from time to time- with Michael Musilami, for instance- they are a formidable rhythm section. The exotic flare in this trio comes from pianist Carlo Morena; in the United States for about a week. The performance at The Buttonwood Tree is their only area appearance. Don't miss it.
If I lived in New Haven, Firehouse 12 would be one of those clubs I'd just visit; even if I didn't know who was playing. Their programming is that consistent. This Friday it's Adam Rudolph's Moving Pictures Quintet. Individually ticketed sets at 8:30 and 10:00.

Bob,You touch on some key points. For those who bileeve that SaaS will be catalyzed by SaaS Platforms, specifically Hosted SaaS Platforms (and I'm one of them) a consolidation of massive data centers will happen over time with a decrease in rate in hardware purchases. Companies developing SaaS offerings do not and should not need to care about running their IT infrastructure until they reach the point where they can achieve better economies of scale by doing so and frankly most will never reach this point. As far as what do VARs do? It's hard to say and their role is still unclear but change is imminent and desperately needed unless they want to face extinction.I would love to hear any other thoughts you or anyone else has as this is a big concern for all of our fellow VARs.
