WHUS hopes you like live music, because we just booked a show for next Friday, February 24 at the Storrs Congregational Church on the Uconn Storrs campus.  Doors open at 5:30 PM and it’s completely FREE.  We’ve got 3 bands booked and they’re all from Connecticut, so come support local music!

The bands are:

The Groomers

New Haven garage/punk/noise stuff. You can check out their demo here.

One Hundred Year Ocean

From Willimantic, it's the solo project of Derrick from a band called The World is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die. You might know them, but then again you might not. Here's the bandcamp and here's a tumblr. It's melancholy pretty stuff, so it might make you feel feelings, but afterwards you'll be happy you felt them.

Osier Bed

Also from Willimantic and featuring a couple UConn twins they play noodly nostalgia rock with a lot of references to Twin Peaks. If you're into Algernon Cadwallader or Snowing you'll really dig these guys. Check out their demo at their bandcamp
