I was saddened to hear of Frank's passing. My show was before his for a couple of years and it was always reassuring to hear his voice in the studio, and on the air.
Frank was our second logest running on air personality (by one semester) and brought the true classic Polka to the air.
Had it not been for the Korean War (Frank was an armorer just like yours truely) he would have probably played in the major leagues.
He was always quick with a joke and knew more than one way to skin a cat.
We will all miss him.

Frank was a staple here for many years, the station's perennial "old man." But for whatever a curmudgeon he could be with the kids at WHUS, Frank was a loving and doting husband who cared for his ailing wife as long as I knew him, taking breaks from the radio he loved when she needed more care. You'll be missed around here, Frank
