Did you know Little Feat has a new album? Not only do they have a new album, four of the songs are written by Robert Hunter. So, the way I look at it, if that isn't reason enough to feature Little Feat on "Something Special," I don't know what is.
Hope you joined me, Crystal Hayes, on Friday, 27 July when I presented a bunch-o tunes featuring the music of Little Feat, old and new. In addition, I got the distinct pleasure to talk to Bill Payne, a founding member of Little Feat. I aired that interview, as well.
Personally, I've been a huge Little Feat fan for what seems like forever. They are one of the bands that I collected their early music as it was happening. Every time a new Little Feat record came out, I was sure to get it. Why should now be any different?
Additionally, Little Feat will be playing locally, well sort of locally. On Saturday, 11 August, Little Feat will be appearing at Indian Ranch in Webster, MA for a 2:00 p.m. show. Wow, a Saturday afternoon with Little Feat ... gotta love that! Conveniently located on Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg ... no, seriously... that's the name of the lake; Webster Lake for short. It's a great little venue.
