After being kicked out of music school in the 10th grade, I aspired to make it as a baritone horn player in a ska band. Our band, The Humpy Dumpty Crunchies, disbanded before leaving the garage so I turned to the internet for a sense of fulfillment. I began downloading music illegally and eventually stumbled upon a documentary about Wavy Gravy, I finally realized what a lifelong comittment to life in the music industry looked like. So I decided to change my life, I packed my bags and headed north and didn't stop until I found somewhere I could call home and finally pursue my dreams...

I'm not sure if it was the bright lights of Tedeschi's Food Mart or the sweet aroma of Baja Cafe, but once I hit Storrs I knew that this was where I had to stay. I took some time to ponder by Mirror Lake and as I was starring at my reflection, my father's voice beckoned down on me from the clouds, he told me that I had to return to the circle of life. I knew that the only way to do as my father wished was to occupy Studio A in the Student Union for two hours per week under the alias DJ Barry Tones. The rest is history.
