A listener (Thanks for the tip, Ed!) turned my attention to this event which happens every June, right in our own backyard... okay... in our neighbor's back yard.  More than a festival, it's a full-on program for studying and celebrating Django Reinhardt's music.  Properly motivated musicians can attend Django Camp, for instance.  While it's not free, the richness of experience sounds like quite a deal to this envious plinker who'd love to have the time to sit in.
