Assedic (Welfare) - Les Escrocs - Acoustic France - Putumayo(2008) - Les Escrocs (The Crooks) got its start playing on the subways and street corners of Paris.
 

Fleur Carnivore - Carla Bley - Fleur Carnivore - ECM(1989) - The title sounded worldly and I know Carla composes and performs excellent jazz.


Green Fields of France - The Fureys - Poppies - Dressed For Peace(1997) - Eric Bogle's song a natural for Memorial Day. 

Rocket - Goldfrapp - Head First - Warner(2010) - An uptempo number from UK duo's new CD.


The Journey - Dolores O'Riordan - No Baggage - Zoe(2009) - Former Cranberries singer having a successful solo career.


Orion - These New Puritans - Hidden - Domino(2010) -  a new band from Southend-on-Sea, England.


This Flower - Kasey Chambers - The Captain - Asylum(1999) - Kasey shows her versitility on this CD. Part Australian, part Nashville.

Runaway Train - Kasey Chambers - Barracades and Brickwalls - Warner(2001) - You've heard her duet with Shane Nicholson (Rattlin' Bones); she's just as good flying solo.


The One Thing I Know - Kate Miller-Heidke - Curiouser - Sony(2010) - I recently reviewed this CD for our website. You'll be hearing more cuts on upcoming shows, I promise.


Jagged Edge of A Broken Heart - Bering Strait - self titled - Universal(2003) - Bering Strait are: Natasha Borzilova (vocals, acoustic guitar); Ilya Toshinsky (electric guitar, banjo, background vocals); Alexander "Sasha" Ostrovsky (lap steel guitar, steel guitar, dobro); Lydia Salnikova (keyboards, background vocals); Sergei "Spooky" Olkhovsky (bass); Alexander Arzamastev (drums).

These Roses - Gin Wigmore - Extended Play - Island(2008) - A wonderfully unique vocal ability makes you listen carefully to the music.
 

Woman of The Island - Phyllis Morrissey - Woman of The Island - Lorelei - From Newfoundland to your radio, enjoy a fine singer.


Mabou Hall Dance - Kinnon and Betty Beaton - The Heart of Cape Breton - Smithsonian(2002) -  Recorded in 2000 on location in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. A collection of local fiddlers at live music venues.

Vi∂ og Vi (Every Now and Then) - Olof Arnalds - Vi∂ og Vi∂ - One Little Indian(2010) Icelandic Indie/folk, newly reviewed on this website.


Cheating Side of The River - Ivan Drever - Waterfront - Originally from Orkney, his vocals are easy to listen to.


Streets of London - Jim Brannigan - Troubadour - self - Transplanted Scot in Vancouver sings originals and covers, and produces his own CDs.


Ivases Lament - Dark Patrick - Riddles - Eva is from the Ukraine and Paul from England; they sure make beautiful music together.

Indigo Rider - Country Dick Montana - The Devil Lied To Me - BarNone(1996) - A legendary performer (drummer and lead vocals on certain numbers for the 80s country rock band, The Beat Farmers), Dick is profiled in my CD review.


Crimson and Crystal - Julia Ecklar - Divine Intervention - Prometheus(2003) - A sequel album is due later this year, I've already got mine on order. Read my review of this CD and find out why.
 

Passing Through - Catie Curtis - Long Night Moon - Compass - Few songs convey personal values like this one by Mark Erelli, convincingly performed by Catie.
