Desolation Row - Robyn Hitchcock - Robyn Sings - PAFI (2002) Robyn, always a fan of Dylan, released this double disc set of live Dylan covers, one recorded in the USA, the other in London. Desolation Row is one of my favorite Dylan songs.
Sunny Road - Emiliana Torrini - Women of the World Acoustic - Putumayo - Emiliana is half Icelandic, half Italian. She released her first solo album in 1999, and wrote the hit "Slow" for Kylie Minogue. This song voices a letter to a past lover, asking if he wants to renew the relationship.
Carolan's Draught - Therese Honey - Mosaic -Waterbug (1996) A CD of ancient folk music of Ireland, circa 1800s, arranged for celtic harp.
Be Good To Me - Sia - We Are Born - Sony (2010) Her brand new CD that you'll be hearing a lot on upcoming shows. I wonder if the pipe cleaner hair dohickies are going to be the next fad.

Who Knows Where The Time Goes - Fairport Convention - Who Knows Where The Time Goes - Green Linnet (1998) Simon Nicol on the lead vocal, live from Canterbury Marlowe Theatre, March 1997.
Warwick Avenue - Duffy - Rockferry - Merdury (2008) Our Birthday Girl this week - she turned 26 on June 23rd.
The Soldier Song - Sarah Bettens - Shine - Cocoon (2008) The last cut on the album, it's an anti-war song well done by Belgian ex-rocker.
Blues Intergalatic - Sun Ra Arkestra - Music For The 21st Century - El Ra (2003) Just felt like visiting the "cosmic corner", chose this nice Marshall Allen tune to share with you.
Under My Skin - Gin Wigmore - Extended Play - Island (2008) The more I hear Gin, the more I love her unique voice and delivery.

Burden of Tomorrow - The Tallest Man on Earth - The Wild Hunt - Dead Oceans (2010) New CD from Dylanesque Swedish folksinger.
Printemps - Coeur de Pirate - self titled - Grosse Boite (2009) Translates to Spring by Pirate's Heart, the name used by Quebec singer Beatrice Martin.

Past Forward - Grazyna Auguscik - Past Forward - GMA(2003) Howard Reich of the Chicago Tribune describes her well: "Grazyna is not merely a vocalist but, rather a musician who has a purpose for every note she sings....she is emerging as an individual voice in a world of sound-alike singers.
There Were Roses - John Whelan - Celtic Crossroads - I didn't have the name of the female vocalist singing this with John. Turns out it is Kathy Mattea.
Spy Hill Jail - Mick Daniel & The Raynmen - Spy Hill Jail is a real place near Calgary.
All Over Again - Christina Orbakaite - My Life CDLand (2005) Good CD from a Russian pop star.
Our little slice of Americana for the week:
Old Love Haunts Me In The Morning - Marissa Nadler - The Saga of Mayflower May - Eclipse - Such a haunting voice !!!!!
The Great Joe Bob (A Regional Tragedy) - Terry Allen - Lubbock - Sugar Hill (1995) A long time since you've heard this classic tune, I'll bet.
The Trumpet Vine - Kate Wolf - Weaver of Visions - Rhino(2000) This may just be my favorite folk song of all.
Pacheco/The Redtail Hawk - Kate Wolf - Weaver of Visions - Rhino (2000) Album title is a perfect description of Kate's songwriting. And her vocals really paint the pictures.
