Check out http://www.myspace.com/neighborsnoho for the infectious “I Want To Fall In Love” by the band Neighbors out of Northampton, MA. What begins with a strong guitar line flows seamlessly into an intertwining of echoing vocal mantra and a pleasantly consistent backing instrumentation. The track climaxes with an instrumental break that sets it apart from even your own expectations. It was described to me by a 20-something listener as sounding like “what whales our age would listen to underwater”, and I can’t even argue. Listen for yourself to hear why I’m expecting big things! Additional track “There Goes My Ego” provides an ambient melodic lo-fi droning, perhaps providing what I’ve been thirsting for from certain well-known Indie darlings.
