This Sunday, August 1st, we'll air a special interview I was able to record last week with Eric Gibson of the Gibson Brothers. Normally, I don't like to record interviews in advance of airing them, but in this case, it was pretty easy to make an exception. The Gibson Brothers are so busy performing all over the place these days -- last weekend, they played way up in northern Maine, this Sunday, they're at a Bluegrass festival in Alberta, and then, next Saturday, August 7th, they'll be one of the great acts featured at the Podunk Bluegrass Festival in East Hartford. The Gibsons' last five recordings have gone to the #1 position on the National Bluegrass Survey, and they are always one of the most-requested acts at the "Bluegrass Cafe."
Join us this Sunday to hear Eric talk about their fabulous 2010, as well as their upcoming Podunk appearances, both on the main stage and in the workshop area. We'll start playing the interview about 5PM, and we'll even have a copy or two of a couple of their early Hay Holler recordings to give away. Hope you can join us!
Roger Moss of the Podunk Bluegrass Festival will join us on-air this Sunday, too, to talk about the rest of the great acts performing and fun stuff happening at Podunk this year. Who knows? He may even have a one-day pass to the festival to give away to a lucky caller...
