Coming out of  Willimantic, a quiet Connecticut town, “The World is a Beautiful Place & I am No Longer Afraid to Die” have just released their new 4 track EP, Formlessness, which blends post-rock in the vein of Explosions in the Sky,  and an ambient old-school emo vibe, reminiscent of American Football, together.

Each track follows a pretty standard formula, with slow builds to dramatic finishes, (except for “Eyjafjallajokull Dance” which uses the roller-coaster idea of building quickly and falling slowly into yet another build with a powerful finish) group choruses and wailing guitars.

That being said these guys are very good, and each song, while similar, has a different enough feeling to keep you hooked and wanting more.  With some luck The World is a Beautiful Place have quite a future….with a name as awesome as thier’s how can they not?

Give them a listen below and check them out on BandCamp, and pay what you want for a download.
