This dispatch comes from a friend of mine, former UConnPIRG President Blayne Sapelli, who is currently traveling Europe.  He must have met some folks involved in student radio in Oslo, and posted the following message to my Facebook profile earlier today:

"The student radio here in Oslo has a coke machine converted into a beer dispenser. The tech nerds have hooked it up into a computer that feeds into twitter to announce who has bought beer, and if a couple people buy booze within a certain timeframe, it announces a party. If you buy 2 beers in one hour and no one else has, it shames you for drinking alone."

I'm working on getting a link; I'll post details (hopefully not in Norwegian) when I do.
