CURRENT SHOW
Sunday Night Folk Festival
Today, Sunday March 21, is the last day of Radiothon 2010. I'd like to start this post by saying, on behalf of everyone at WHUS, THANK YOU all so much for your generosity this past week! We've had an amazing time taking your pledges and talking to you about the radio station. Radiothon truly is a special time every year, and thanks to everyone who pledged for making this year great as always.
This year's Radiothon has seen some great antics, from Washboard Pat offering to run the Manchester Road Race dressed as a superhero Wednesday night to Joe Dupnik and Dave Gosh attempting to complete the "Gallon Challenge" on Friday afternoon. They didn't quite finish (nor did they throw up in studio, thanks be to God), but it was certainly entertaining. We hope you'll all enjoy your new WHUS swag, CDs and gift certificates, and we're glad to thank you for your donations with those gifts.
2009 and the beginning of 2010 have seen lots of improvements at WHUS; our new music library and this new website you're browsing. We hope to continue the cycle and to keep fighting the good fight!
But Radiothon 2010 is not quite over yet. You still have the opportunity to make pledges to the great shows on WHUS this afternoon. The Bluegrass Cafe is on from 4pm until 7pm and Susan Forbes Hansen's Sunday Night Folk Festival goes from 7pm until 10pm. Please call 1-800-599-9487 to make your pledge during the final hours of this marathon.
Finally, if you still want to make a donation and missed your chance during Radiothon, please do not hesitate to call the office line to make your pledge after tonight, or to return the mailing you got a few weeks ago. You can reach Barbara, our Business Manager, at (860) 486-1843 with any questions.
