After a few years of avoiding, delaying and flat-out refusing, I gave in. My first credit card will be arriving in the mail shortly. One of the great financial Catch-22's is in order to build credit, you need to have a credit card and begin charging. I plan to start slow, charging small 'everyday' items: gas, snacks, a 2011 V.W. GTI. As I begin to build the foundation of my credit, (which ironically in a few years should assist in building the foundation of my first home) I had a plethora of options from different card companies, packages and rewards.

One of the cool 'Generation Y' options was to choose your own graphic for your credit card. There were COUNTLESS restrictions, regulations and copyright issues when it came to uploading your own picture. This ruled out 80% of the photos I had in mind. I spent hours browsing through photos from vacations, friends, teenage dreams (no Katy Perry pictures) but I couldn't seem to find the RIGHT one.

Then I recalled reading Crystal Hayes blog, 'WHUS Is Everywhere'

It dawned on me. WHUS really IS everywhere. Why not expand the greatness even more. There were some pictures I had from around the studio and decided on this shot:

CHARGE!

I present my first credit card. Very beautiful.

Let's just hope my credit score will be as beautiful.

(The card is an example, not my actual one, so don't try to use it)
