You probably saw her on the 2009 Grammy awards with Carrie Underwood. You probably know she was Michael Jackson’s last guitarist. You probably know her guitar style was influenced by Carlos Santana. But, Orianthi Panagaris, a 25 year old originally from Adelaide, Australia, is also a fine singer. She has two solo albums “Violet Journey” from 2007, and last years release “Believe”. “Believe” is mainstream pop-rock featuring her vocals as well as her guitar work. And, when you listen, don’t ignore the lyrics. “Give me the bad news baby now/Don’t make me wait/I wanna know that I’m your biggest mistake” She writes as well as she sings. Orianthi sings as well as she plays guitar. My recommended tracks are “According To You”, “Bad News”, ”Feels Like Home”, and “God Only Knows”.  An excellent CD, and a great foundation for building a superstar career.
