For anyone who has not been listening to WHUS for very long, we usually hold a pledge drive called Radiothon for a week every March. This fundraiser is a great way for our fans to show their support for their favorite college and community radio station, and to get great gifts as well, which you can check out here. Every year, the money that our listeners pledge during Radiothon gets used to not only support the daily costs of running a radio station, but also to continue making our station a more fun and rewarding place to be, as it is a huge media resource to both the staff members and listeners. In the past we have used Radiothon money to complete our music library, which hosts tens of thousands of LPs and CDs, enough that one wanted to, one could go years without ever playing a song off the same album twice on his or her show. This year our goal is to be able to build a new studio so we can have an online-only channel, enabling the listener to choose between two different radio shows to listen to, as well as the chance for the WHUS family to grow as we will have room for many more people to have shows. Having more studio space is also great because for audio production and music nerds like myself, it means having more awesome jam-session-recording-parties like this:

Radiothon has been going on all week, and will continue until the night of Sunday, March 27th, so call us up and make a pledge! No amount of money is too small, as every dollar contributes to making WHUS better. We always have people waiting by our phones for you!

Here is the number to call! :)
