On Tuesday April 12 at 1:30 you are invited to stop by La Paloma Coffee House, 405 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT, to talk with Pat the Pundit about the issues you care about and join in the conversation. In a time where sound bites rule the air, there are too few opportunities for individual people to engage in informed issue-based discussions. Audio will be broadcast on the Pundit & the People, which airs every Wednesday at 6 PM right here on WHUS.
All along I have hoped to create the kind of exchange on the Pundit and the People that makes the listener feel like they have stumbled upon a group of friends discussing the issues at a local coffee shop. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to actually go ahead and do it in a coffee shop. The show is designed to provide the space for real people; not talking heads and politicos, to discuss the issues they care about.
