Pat-the-Pundit has logged time working on grassroots and volunteer advocacy campaigns, hawked press releases for a public interest group, testified to the Connecticut General Assembly, and managed an election campaign for an unaffiliated (at least with a political party) candidate for state office. After creating a national program to help students participate in the political process, Pat got involved in all these endeavors because he believes more people from every walk of life need an opportunity to inform and participate in real, thoughtful political discussion. Through these experiences he has seen that, unfortunately, both our government and media are designed in a way that makes it difficult for real people-i.e. people who do not make a living through the media or policy work; to participate.
