Chelsea joined WHUS in the Spring of 2008 during her sophomore year at UConn, and loved it so much that she is still here two years after graduating. Her first show, The Big Takeover, premiered in May 2008 and focused primarily on punk, indie rock, and local bands from Connecticut and surrounding states. In the summer of 2010, she teamed up with Steve Samela and hosted a one-hour show called The All-Night Takeover (the child of The Big Takeover and Steve’s show All Night Diner), and currently hosts Insomniac Jams on Friday nights from 10pm-midnight. Chelsea has also been involved on the Operations Board of WHUS in recent years, serving as Assistant Promotions Director during the 2008-2009 school year, Promotions Director from 2009-2010, and Production Director from 2010-2011. Currently, Chelsea is pursuing her master's degree in English and teaching certificate, and is working on a couple novels in her downtime.
